Display problems after installation

I have Installed Q4OS on my desktop computer. During the booting, initially the log screen appears as usual, but later the display turns black. Any keyboard input does not work. When I press the shutdown button, the log screen appears again, and it is shutting down. Booting  the older kernel does not help. When I start the recovery mode, I can log in with my password, but I do not know, what to do next. We have a very big screen, so it is hard to see the tiny characters, if they are in the left upper corner.

Re: Display problems after installation

Did you ever use a secondary screen? If so connect it again and see what happens.

Re: Display problems after installation

@hciper:

My computer has two HDMI ports which usually show different screens.
But in this case they are both black.

I already installed from the Q4OS live. Should I rather install from the Debian live?

Re: Display problems after installation

Do we understand correctly that the Q4OS installation is unusable ? If so, the alternative is to install from Debian live. Please post the result back for us to get a feedback for possible fix.

Re: Display problems after installation

Is there a opportunity, that I first install Debian and then upgrade it to QSO4?

Re: Display problems after installation

I will try to Install Quarkos Noble Plasma live instead. Because it is inside the Q4OS Imager and I had not problems with Ubuntu before.

Re: Display problems after installation

I started the steps of https://www.q4os.org/dqa017.html
Then the script said everything is installed and I should reboot.
When I reboot I am in the former Debian again.

Re: Display problems after installation

No, this method has a bug what is going to be fixed. We recommend you to use the preferred method using the .qsi installer, see https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3477

Re: Display problems after installation

Yes, use setup_q4os-mxtools-plasma_<version>.qsi for Plasma or setup_q4os-mxtools-trinity_<version>.qsi for Trinity desktop. Download from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/q4os/f … ntal_apps/

As we know you are using Plasma https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.ph … 763#p32763, so why didn't you start with mx-tools for Plasma .qsi installer ?
