I came to Q4OS to revive a 15 year old Acer laptop and had this exact same problem.
I abandoned my attempts due to this problem because I thought it was a hardware problem.
I liked Q4OS so much I used Q4OS to replace Windows on my other PC's, something I wanted to do for a long time.
On the other PC's all works as expected, exact same installation.
Due to this post I might revisit my attempts to get the Old Acer working.

All versions show the same problem on my old Acer 2GB system.
Runs everywhere else without problem.
Tried virtual machine with 512MB RAM, went nicely to the swap file.

I will not pursue this further because I don't really need that PC to run, it was just for fun.

Yes, the minimal requirements are valid. We have successfully tested it as virtual machines in Virtualbox. We are now preparing a fix for Q4OS installer and desktop profiler, so you can try it as soon as it's released.

OK I investigated a bit further and wanted to delete my previous message which apparently is not possible, so I've overwritten it with my further findings. I'll be trying the fix!

We have fixed some issues for q4os-setup and desktop-profiler utility, you can check it now. You only need to update from repositories and reboot. A feedback would be appreciated.

Sorry I can not confirm whether it is fixed or not.

The old PC kept on crashing with the Trinity 32 version.
I then tried the Trinity 64 live version. That worked (without the fix).
After I installed that version from the live system to the HDD, the PC wouldn't boot from the HDD anymore.

I wanted Q4OS on that PC just for fun, I'm not willing to spend more time keeping it alive.

On all my other PC's (2 desktops, 1 laptop, many virtual machines) I didn't have the problem, so I cannot confirm something improved there.
