OK.
Do any other flash drives work?
If they do then it is most likely the way the Kingston is formatted.
Is it new or has it worked OK in the past.
Has it been used on a Windows machine?

I have a similar problem. Following thread for possible solution. My case is any external hard drive plugged in does not show up or mount but they show up when I run lsblk.

With Plasma DE, right-click on the small black triangle (arrow up) next to the clock and select the item "Configure..."
Then look at the setting for the Device Notifier and check it is not "Disabled" in the drop-down list.

As you will have seen it is important to provide information about your system.
Please plug in a drive and then run
sudo inxi -FxxxmprzJ
and paste back the results.
When you plug a drive in and it doesn't 'show' it's a good idea to navigate to the /media folder and see if there is anything showing in there.

I got my situation fixed. I reformatted the external drive using gparted. Also, this revived new life into an old Acer Netbook with an Intel Atom processor and 2 gig of RAM. Of course I am using the 32 bit version. Netbook shipped with Windows 7 and was slow as crap from the beginning. Other versions of Linux worked but none have been as fast or responsive at Q4OS.... it also helped to put in a 250GB SSD. Not my main computer but I just dislike letting equipment sit around in a closet useless.

Ouch, Intel Atom is a really poor performer and Q4OS is a great choice to help that cpu. Im the same way as I have both older and newer hardware up and running as I tend to hardware hop all the time. Glad you got it working.
