Need help installing ffmpeg on my x64 system

Greetings, all! I hope someone can point me in the right direction here, as I try to install ffmpeg on my Lenovo T61, running Orion 1.84 (X64).

When I do sudo apt-get install ffmpeg, I get this:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
 ffmpeg : Depends: libavcodec56 (>= 10:2.6.9) but 6:11.8-1~deb8u1 is to be installed
          Depends: libavdevice56 (>= 10:2.6.9) but it is not going to be installed
          Depends: libavfilter5 (>= 10:2.6.9) but 6:11.8-1~deb8u1 is to be installed
          Depends: libavformat56 (>= 10:2.6.9) but 6:11.8-1~deb8u1 is to be installed
          Depends: libavresample2 (>= 10:2.6.9) but 6:11.8-1~deb8u1 is to be installed
          Depends: libavutil54 (>= 10:2.6.9) but 6:11.8-1~deb8u1 is to be installed

Any ideas as to how I can move forward and get ffmpeg installed on my system?

You could try this one:
$ sudo apt-get -t jessie install ffmpeg
and report back
