I have an old PC lying around that currently runs Windows XP that I was going to switch over to Q4OS 1.4.10. I decided to download the LiveCD just to check that everything worked properly before I installed. While Q4OS is able to boot properly, X does not start and I am left at a terminal login prompt. My questions were if there was any way to fix this and what the login credentials are for the live cd. The specs on the old PC in question are:
-AMD Athelon XP 1600+ 1.41 GHz Processor
-1 GB of RAM
-an old NVIDIA GeForce 6200 graphics card
If you need to know anything else, I'll do my best to find out.

The live-CD login credentials:
login: adminq
no password
Check the log file '/var/log/Xorg.0.log' , you can attach it here to analyze.

Interestingly, after logging in as adminq, I get the notice about Debian not having a warranty, followed by the X session starting automatically and arriving at the desktop. I was also able to lock the session and log back in without X crashing. Logging out caused it to automatically log back in, which I assume is an auto login feature for the livecd. I don't actually have the machine connected to the internet right now to be able to post the log file, but if you still want it I can prioritize grabbing something to do so and upload it. I was going to do so soon anyway.

You could download just new Q4OS Orion 1.4.11. We would recommend to check, if NVIDIA driver is available for your machine. Simply run in terminal:
$ qinst-ipvideo

An NVIDIA driver is available for my machine, but I'll need to get my internet situated in order to download and install it. I'll also grab 1.4.11 and see if that helps any.
EDIT: I have burned a new disk with the 1.4.11 release. It is the same situation as 1.4.10 as far as the X session not starting until after login. I can confirm that there is an NVIDIA driver for me once I get my internet setup. Another interesting bug is that using the button to shut down the computer simply restarts the X session as if it was a new login, complete with login music. In order to power off the machine, I had to use the terminal and "sudo shutdown -h now."

Can you try launching Debian Live CD to make sure that it is Q4OS bug, not Debian bug?
Have you performed checksum integrity verification of burned Q4OS Live CD?
Before asking for help please read this topic: https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3502 If you have problems with WiFi network, try to install the Network Manager using Q4OS Software Centre.

Just checked the md5 of the iso, and it matches what's on the site. As far as testing with the Debian Live CD, I'd love to, but none of the live images fit on a CD, and my computer does not support booting from USB or DVD.

Okay, so I finally was able to get around to purchasing a network adapter that works. Here is the log file.

Most probably the Nouveau display driver bug. You could try to install NVIDIA driver from terminal:
$ nvidia-detect
$ sudo apt-get install <nvidia-driver-printed-by-the-nvidia-detect>
$ sudo apt-get install nvidia-settings nvidia-xconfig
$ sudo nvidia-xconfig
$ sudo reboot
or upgrade kernel, please read http://www.q4os.org/dqa011.html#system.5
