Re: Epson

Bonjour tsylvain,

Edit by Admin, Google translate:
Hello Tsylvain,

Indeed, I had the same problem with an Epson XP 2200 and I looked for help on the Comment ça marche website.
I don't remember exactly how I did it.
But in any case, in the Linux Software Center, I had to activate the simple-scan or xsane software, or possibly another software. And also look for an Epson driver.

Here's a thread on CCM: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/foru … 200-inexis

Here's a link to download an Epson driver for Linux: https://support.epson.net/linux/en/isca … ion=2.30.4

Linux automatically recognizes Canon and HP printers, but not Epson! Same for Windows 11!

Re: Epson

"System-config-printer"
trouvé sur un forum Debian

Encore merci, prenez soin de vous

Thanks, friends, and thanks, Walter.

Finally, I found a solution by downloading "System-config-printer"
found on a Debian forum.

Thanks again, take care.

Re: Epson

Epson is well supported using system-config-printer and in the case of KDE Q4OS that Im using Epson printers are auto detected, using the full desktop install.

Re: Epson

Crosscourt

Merci

Indeed, I'm experiencing incredibly long printing times (up to 6 minutes!).
It's true that I installed Q4os TDE with the intermediate software option, so with few applications.
Can you confirm that with
Q4os KDE Plasma and the full software option
you get fast and easy printing (and scanning)?
Thanks

Re: Epson

I only own one Epson printer as most of my printers are Canon but yes it prints fast and easy with KDE full desktop install.

More than likely you need to check your settings to make sure any high speed settings are enabled, but it depends a lot on what youre printing and whether youre printers memory is sufficient for the job and the wifi connection is stable and fast.

Re: Epson

Hello tsylvain,

A essayer !

Maybe you didn't load the right drivers, here are the ones that worked with Linux Mint mate and my Epson xp 2200 printer : https://support.epson.net/linux/en/isca … ion=2.30.4
And possibly “System-config-printer” ( to be activated in the software library ) . Give it a try !
On my PC running Q4os I haven't tried it yet, as I don't need a printer on this PC .

Re: Epson

If hes running the system-config-printer with the full desktop install his printer should work fine.
