Good day!
Last month I have noticed, that download speed from q4os.org repository became very slow. About 250-400 Kilobytes per second.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ah4QGm … sp=sharing
Why? I have not noticed this before.
Also, this is not my Internet connection problem. I have internet speed about 25-30 Megabytes per second.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1amIHFF … sp=sharing
Also, download from ftp.se.debian.org goes very fast - 3-4 MB/s.

Downloads from q4os.org go fine here at speed 11MB/s, maybe some temporary glitch ?

Today, I have tried again using your command to download from q4os.org. The download speed was 840 KB/s, which was a bit faster but still very slow (attachment). Also, I have tried to download at night, when Internet traffic is less intensive and servers are not so loaded as in daytime. So, I suppose, that it is not a temporary glitch.

I tried the same download as Q4OS Team after he posted his response, and I tried just now. The speed are 14 and 12 MB/s
Between Q4OS' server and your computer, the wire is long and there are many intermediate machines, whose one might be responsible. You might consider using
traceroute www.q4os.org

Your speed test involves another server (DEAC in Riga? which is nearby where you live) and a different (shorter) route, involving other intermediate machines, if any. Don't be too suspicious on Q4OS server at first.

We have tested more thoroughly and also noticed intermittent drops in download speed, however not as noticeable as @Rademes. So we will try to ask our server provider to check it.

@Q4OSTeam, can you tell me in which city the q4os.org server is located, so I could perform a proper SpeedTest?

I have tested my internet speed, using two servers, located in Prague. Inernet speed is OK. See attachments.

OK, the delays look like good. I have nearly the same.
Now what about your download speed from q4os.com with this situation? Better? Still slow?

Very bad! Still only about 300 KB/s See attachments.
But the traceroute is good.
I am sure, that the problem is in q4os.org server, and not in my Internet, because downloading from another servers is still very fast. Only q4os.org server has so slow download speeds. If I would be confident, that the problem is in my Internet connection, I would not create this topic.

We could use crontab to launch the same download at the same time tonight?

I do not know, how to use cron, and now I do not have time to learn, since I have a lot of work, sorry.
However, a have tested again and again I have this very slow speed...

On your first test, you had speed 12 MB/s, but today you had only 4,45 MB/s. So, the speed dropped significantly for you too.

Q4OSTeam also noticed speed drops. So, there is something wrong with q4os server.

Same download 1 minute after your last post and high speed (3,37 MB/s) for me.
Are you saving the downloaded file to a slow device?

Downloaded again and saved to a slow device (USB2) with the -O option. Download terminated before the file had been written, but the speed was... 13,7 MB/s (yes, thirteen)!

I have noticed, that when I test my internet speed using Speedtest.net in Single connection mode, it is slower, than in Multi connection mode. Still not so slow to be 300 KB/s...

We can confirm that some geographic locations may experience download speed issues from the q4os.org server. Although at a somewhat reduced speed, the data transfer will still be uninterrupted and reliable. The solution will be more complex, so we need to work with our data provider to resolve it.

Today I have better download speed - 1.7MB/s. Not as fast as it could be, but acceptable.

That`s good to hear. When download speed becomes very slow, I always afraid, that the download could be interrupted. I have had such situations in the past.
