I started using Q4OS some time ago but for some reason there are almost no windows programs that will run under wine. I have run pure Debian with the same problem. Even though Ubuntu is pretty good with wine working, even those distros based on Ubuntu have the same problem. For example I have several chess programs that run well under wine in Ubuntu but not under any other distros. Is there something I have failed to activate that prevents these programs running under wine? I also have a couple of Bible programs that run well under wine in Ubuntu but under no other distro. I'm completely baffled by this. I love Q4OS and want to continue using it but the wine problem needs to be addressed somehow. I'm using Q4wine. Thanks for any help.

Wine doesn't work well with more complex Windows applications. We can only recommend you, if you like Ubuntu, to give a try Quarkos, what is Ubuntu based system with Q4OS amenities https://quark-os.sourceforge.io/
