I dont understand how to add a Wifi-Connection (Maybe im just stupid)

Hello

I just installed Q4OS(the newest live-version) and I only have "Wired Connection 1" available as a Network.

If i click on the "+" in Network Settings, i can select "Wi-Fi", but then i dont get a list of available Networks(like i read in other posts).
It opens up this window:
Window

And if I enter the SSID, select "WPA2 Personal" under Security and type in my Password, nothing happens.

Hope someone knows whats going on, because i dont :c

Either left-click on the network icon in the taskbar (beside the clock) to choose one of the detected WiFi in the list or use the application launcher ("start" button), choose System configuration and select Network / Connections in the list on the left and select your WiFi network in the list. In both cases I can see a list of available networks.

It sounds as if your wifi is not supported out of the box - did it work when you booted the live medium for installation?
Please run inxi -F
Copy and paste output.

Re: I dont understand how to add a Wifi-Connection (Maybe im just stupid)

if you run a machine with wifi in it and cable like i do , your wifi is connected direct after install q4os , if you have inside your machine and you are use cable , and click on the connection button you wil alse see all the wifi connections , if not you have no wifi inside your machine

tip - if you have install q4os and you have wifi and cable on the machine , after installation of q4os the wifi drivers for your machine if there is wifi on it are allready install , and you can switch from cable to wifi direct , you wil see your name in the list allready , all you have the do is connected to your name and inter your password form your provider.

Re: I dont understand how to add a Wifi-Connection (Maybe im just stupid)

Hi, I have a similar issue, but in my case, I can see the wireless connections available and I can see my own wi-fi internet connection, but when I select the option, both of them, because I don't know why, I can see 2 options of my router, I get an error message from TDENetworkManager, which I suppose is the application that handles the wireless connections and the error message is: "Connection attempt failed! SSDI not found." and as I read the beginning of this post, I could see what is the first step I have to make which is to run the inxi - F command and I did and this is the result, of course I deleted the information of the mac code:
