trying to boot into Q4OS 4.7 from USB install medium i get
set_second_stage() failed: Invalid Parameter
Something has gone seriously wrong: shim_init() failed: Invalid Parameter
then, computer is going off after some seconds.
With Q4OS 3.5 (Centaurus) everything fine.
I found this has to do with the grub version. 2.04 works. 2.06 not.
I am not a grub professional, so I ask if anyone has an idea how I can persuade grub 2.06 to start, or how I can provide the installation media with the old grub version.
Thanks in advance

Which way did you create the USB medium ? Q4OS 4.7 live media carries Grub 2.04-18 version. If you just do a copy of Q4OS iso image, USB should boot to Grub 2.04 version.
sudo cp q4os-4.7-x64-tde.r1.iso /dev/sdX
double check sdX is the USB, not your harddrive device.
An alternative way worth to try could be using Q4OS install media instead of live media.

i did create the install medium with BalenaEtcher
q4os-4.7-x64-tde.r1.iso and
q4os-4.7-x64-instcd.r1.iso
problem as described.
q4os-3.15-x64-tde.r1.iso starts fine.
so i created a q4os-4.7-x64-tde.r1.iso install medium with rufus in iso mode (to edit the medium).
After this i copied file bootx64.efi from the
q4os-3.15 medium to the
q4os-4.7 stick ( directory : \EFI\boot )
and q4os is starting!
I will try next days the install and see what happens.

install runs fine with the stick prepared like my last post on the Fujitsu Lifebook U748 (with secure boot enabled)
i did a install parallel to windows.
second or third boot, system comes to prompt like
https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=4028
Also wifi is enabled only first time.
installing application network manager, reboot and deinstall network manager, i get stable wifi enabled status.
then installing paket 'plymouth' resolves the prompt on boot.
