I remember those days well kinel, as tweaking autoexec.bat and config.sys was a mainstay to keep things working.

Could we see Debonaire as the future default desktop theme for Scorpion?

Yes, it may become the default theme in the future, but it is not planned at the moment, as it still needs number of improvements and fixes.

Spotted a few comments in various forums about Debonaire and so far the reaction seems positive.

This awesome theme made me fall in love twice with Q4OS!

Its very nice and seems to solve the issue some users had with Q4OS classic look.

I also think I would be a good idea, and a great step forward for Q4OS.

That's right. Some people does not see how powerfull Trinity is, because it looks to old school for them, so they think it is out of date.

The main complaint I get from people in other forums about Q4OS is the outdated look as they explain it. Modernizing a bit would probably attract even more users. Overall their reaction is very positive and it doesnt stop anyone from using it.

I agree. It's sad because TDE is the more powerfull DE amongst the lightest like XFCE or LXDE.

TDE and LXDE in regards to resource usage are pretty close and thats from testing within the same distro. XFCE isnt a lot heavier than those two given its feature set. TDE has a very quick response in general use again similar to LXDE.
I use both XFCE and TDE with Q4OS with great results. In fact XFCE and TDE feel about the same in regards to speed and response.

I actually prefer the KDE_classic theme as I loved the original KDE 3.5 menu which was compact and easy to use.

I am definitely preferring this theme as it has a more modern look to it and will be using it to show others who might be interested in crossing over to Linux.

I show people more than just Debonaire by using Lookswitcher during the demo. My user base is in the hundreds and so far with a wide variety of age and ability, the default theme is still the most popular. Many people do like debonaire but honestly once they see lookswitcher, they start playing around and i show them how they can customize that theme. KDE_classic that I use is very popular with customizations and thats not because i use it, as these people made that choice for themselves. Its very compact, you can search for apps and can add or remove very quickly whatever addons to the menu you prefer.
I really like the XFCE Whisker menu(newest version) as I also run XFCE with Q4OS and with MXLinux 17, as its so easy for anyone to get use to but is completely modern and customizable.

No, Q4OS for RPi is based on Raspbian Jessie. It will be possible as soon as Q4OS 2 Scorpion for RPi will be released.

The Debonaire theme is now available for KDE Plasma as well. If you are running in Plasma, you need to install Lookswitcher from Q4OS Software centre, or upgrade to the latest Lookswitcher version, and simply switch to Debonaire using KDE Plasma system settings > Workspace Theme > Look and feel > check "Use desktop layout from theme" checkbox > Apply.

Delete this please.
