I downloaded this Q4OS Scorpion - 64bit / x64 ... 582 MBytes
When I booted the CD I only got the command line interface, no desktop. Any suggestions as to what happened?
Thanks!

The live CD should boot into the graphical user interface. Would you provide a short hardware specification please ? Also try to type 'X' + 'Enter' on the command line and post a screenshot or output, if possible.

Ive got older laptops that when I try to run/install Scorpion they get stuck at the command line and do nothing. I switched to Orion and had no issues.

Also could you let us know what hardware you are running it on, some users can offer better advice on different hardware.

If its older hardware 32bit might be worth a try.

So, having easy access to the Orion LiveCD might prove useful after all???

Yes it can be helpful to have the live cd but at some point all distros move to simplify older offerings.
