I'm using Trinity and would like to remove the Template & Public folders from the home folder, but when I try to delete them they immediately reappear. I was able able to do this in previous versions of q4os. Is is possible and how to do it? Thanks.

You need to edit $HOME/.config/user-dirs.dirs and $HOME/.configtde/user-dirs.dirs and then remove the folders.

Thanks!

I removed references to those two folders in the files you mentioned and logged out, but it hasn't changed anything. When I try to delete the folders they reappear.
I tried both from the command line and TDE file manager.

I am using Plasma and It appears that a file user-dirs.dirs also exists in $HOME/.configkde/
Maybe the file you need to edit is in .configtde ... ?

Hi hchiper, thanks but q4os team already told me that I need to edit the file user-dirs.dirs in .configtde, which I did. I deleted the lines
XDG_PUBLICSHARE_DIR="$HOME/Public"
XDG_TEMPLATES_DIR="$HOME/Templates"
from BOTH user-dirs.dirs files in .config and .configtde, but when logging in these two lines are being appended to the file in .configtde, and I cannot delete the folders.
Is this a bug?
