I've been running mainly Scorpion for months now with no major issues, I had a couple of UEFI issues initially but they have been sorted out now.

Hello, i'm running Scorpions too
Great system !
All run ok
- I don't like Firefox ESR version
- I can't have Nextcloud client (works ok in Q4os stable) : https://www.jurisic.org/index.php?post/ … e-in-3-min
Is it the same version of trinity between scorpion and orion ?
Have a good day

Have you tried bulding the nextcloud client as described in this doc page I haven't tried it myself and there could possibly be a problem with dependencies but could be worth a shot.
I think the trinity version in Orion was updated a while back although I'm not sure it is the same version as Scorpion, logic would say that the stable version might be older than the testing one but I will have to wait for confirmation from the devs on that.
Firefox can be downloaded and run from it's own folder with no installation so you can use the latest version (53.0.2 (64-bit) on my system) if you want to keep it up to date, but you might have to install pulseaudio to get sound from it.

No, Scorpion is based on TDE 14.0.5 development version, while Orion uses TDE 14.0.4 stable.

Hello and thank you for your help ; I don't test that because it's nextcloud and not owncloud. And i don't kown if they are equal.
I'll wait the debian 9.
Ownclient-client is in synaptic and work for the moment

Sorry I didn't check apt first and followed a link from the page you posted and didnt realise the different name until you said

Q4OS uses esr version too, I had an issue with thunderbird and installed that from mozilla site and while I was there decided to try the latest Firefox too.

Not a matter, I use Owncloud-client and I'll wait for a Nextcloud-client on stable version of Scorpion

Thunderbird is ok for me (45.8.0)
I don't know if esr version has all the avantages of normal version.
In my office we have esr version (but windows too) and I don't like it...

I had a problem connecting to gmail (a known mozilla bug) but it is fixed in 52.1 so needed the latest version.
I don't really see a huge difference, I imagine it's more behind the scenes changes.

Im not wild about the ESR version of Firefox either. ESR offers stability but none of the added features you get with the conventional Firefox version.

Just installed Scorpion and was pleasantly surprised. Very stable, no issues but will be taking it to task to see if anything crops up. Im using older hardware from 2012 so its difficult to gauge versus Orion.
Ill put it thru its paces and see what happens.

I've been running it on my new laptop for hardware compatibility, but still run Orion on my other systems. I think Scorpion is very stable and have only had minor issues which have been easily resolved.

Im not at the point where Im going to rely on Scorpion but so far its very stable'

Been testing Scorpion, very stable OS for a test version. Its better than the last time I had tried it and it bodes well for it becoming the future official Q4OS release.
