I have noticed that Virtualbox is back in the Debian repository and I have just performed a fresh install on this machine and was about to install it and realised (after adding Virtualbox repository) that I have 4 options,
1. Debian repo 5.1.28-dfsg-1~bpo9+1
2. Virtualbox repo 5.0.40-115130~Debian~stretch
3. Virtualbox repo 5.1.30-118389~Debian~stretch
4. Virtualbox repo 5.2.0-118431~Debian~stretch
I'm running a 64 bit system and each version would install and do the job but was wondering if anybody has had problems with any particular version before I go ahead and pick one.
My original thought was to install the Debian version, but looking at them all I would probably lean more towards 5.1.30 from Virtualbox...
Any thoughts?

ad1. Debian repo 5.1.28-dfsg-1~bpo9+1 - comes from Stretch backports, it's the one we would recommend over the others. As it's from backports, it should be updated continually and follow, with a slight delay, the mainstream version.
For those who want to install Virtualbox in Q4OS:
If you want to get an access to the Virtualbox package from backports you need to add backports repositories:
$ sudo qrepoadd backports-stretch
If you want to get an access to the mainstream Virtualbox packages you need to add Virtualbox repository:
$ sudo qrepoadd virtualbox
EDIT: Post fixed

ad 1. comes from backports, my error in initial post, 5.1.30 comes from Virtualbox repo, would that mean your advice would be 5.1.28 ?

Yes, sorry for that mistake you are right. We recommend VBox from Debian backports repo, the original post has been edited accordingly.

No problem, I just wanted to make sure I understood correctly, and thank you for your advice, I will go with the recommendation.
