Hello good afternoon.
Greetings from Spain, I am a user of Q4OS 2.4 Scorpion with the LXQT desktop.
Congratulations on this wonderful distribution. I have some not too important doubts, since everything works without problems. My doubts are as follows:
A) I customized the desktop and I like having the same wallpaper background image and login background. How do I change the login image in LXQT? I searched the internet, and as session manager uses SDDM, but it does not work by changing the configuration files.
B) In the main menu, in the category of Internet, the icon of Google Chrome does not appear. How is it solved ?.
Thanks for possible answers,
I'm sorry, my English is so poor.

Hello crosscourt.
Yes I reboot and the issue still.

A. If I remember correctly the login screen is hardcoded and cannot be changed, but that was from a while back and it may have changed in Scorpion but that would have to be confirmed by the devs.
B. How did you install Google Chrome?

Hello Dai_trying.
Google Chrome was automatically installed. When selecting the desktop profile, select that I installed everything (the first option) and the LXQT desktop.
Thanks for the answers.

Can you post the result of these two commands
grep "Icon" /usr/share/applications/google-chrome.desktop
find /usr/local/share/icons/hicolor/* | grep google-chrome
from a terminal?

I also use the full desktop profile and didnt have the issue. I wonder if its something specific to LXQT?

I just installed chrome and have no issues either, so you could be right, but I thought it wouldn't hurt to make sure everything is referenced and placed correctly just in case the installer glitched.

In a number of forums Ive seen issues with Chrome and LXQT but Im not familiar enough with it to know what those are based on.

I haven't used LxQt in a while now and don't have an installation to check but if I get time later I will install and try it. And I know I can add it to my current installation, but I don't want to clutter my system up with more desktop stuff I will never use

Thanks for all the answers.
I have tested the Dai_trying user solution before but it is still the same. Before installing LXQT probe LXDE and I also had the same problem with Google Chrome. It is a detail that does not bother me, I just wanted to know if there is any solution, but for now it's all the same. I have not used LXQT for a long time, it has improved a lot. He has not given me any more problems.
I'm happy with this distribution.
I am sorry my little level of my English.
Thank crosscourt. Thank Dai_trying.

You're welcome, I will install LxQt later and post here if I find a solution.

Ive used LXQT with another distro and there were some interesting issues with various apps but cant remember if Chrome had an issue.
Im a fan of LXDE and wanted to try LXQT again but XFCE has always been one of my favorites.
I find your level of english very good.

Hello Q4OS users.
I have managed to fix the Google Chrome icon bug. I installed the icon theme Faenza. Now if the icon appears and everything looks more attractive.
Thanks for all answers.

Great work! I think it would have been an issue with how LxQt gets it's icon set for the menu and it is a little different to how TDE organises them, it's good that it is quite simple to fix (when you know how).

Nice pickup! How did you determine that a icon theme change would fix the issue?

Hello crosscourt.
I thought the Google Chrome icon would not be on the installed system by default, so I decided to change the icon theme. And it worked.

Typically though the icon is added through the installation of Chrome so something about the Chrome icon wasnt compatible with your initial icon theme and the change solved that issue.
Totally agree with you that Scorpion is an awesome new version.
