I recently installed a windows application under Wine but as it did not function that well I uninstalled it. However, I have been left with an empty folder for the application under Applications - Programs and have not been able to delete it from the list. It is not doing any harm but it is somewhat annoying to see it sat there doing nothing!
Any guidance on how I can locate the folder and delete it will be gratefully received.

Have a look in ~/.local/share/applications/wine/Programs
You're looking for .desktop files that match the name of the program you uninstalled
Remove them and you should find the menu cleans up
If that program has its own folder then just remove that folder
You may want ot just move the item to somewhere else first rather than deleting it just to be on the safe side.

@bin
Thank you for your advice which has resolved the issue although I struggled at first to find the .local folder as it appears to be a hidden folder.
