Thanks CC, but no thanks. I'll stick to MySQL when I need a relational database (which I don't at present). I've never had any problems with it. Plus, I've got to admit that I get the shivers thinking about Microsoft anything.

I didnt post this to advocate for SQL but its interesting how things are changing and how the market views the overall situation versus open source alternatives.

I'm with JimW on this, how can the Linux word really trust Microsoft?? As the article says there are already tried and tested well supported options available and I'm sure that isn't going to change any day soon.

Articles like this just reinforce the fact that open source is the better alternative in almost all situations, agree with both of you.
Feel free to post some comments in that article if you have time and let them know how you feel.
