Hello. I couldn't find a real answer to this in the forum, so I'll ask.
I saw that Q4OS Orion has been released and as I always want to be on the latest version, I want to upgrade. But how do I upgrade via terminal?
The sudo apt-get dist-upgrade doesn't do anything and there's no do-release-upgrade as in Ubuntu...
So is there a way to upgrade to the latest release without having to download the latest iso?

Umm, sorry for double post, can't find a button to edit post so...
EDIT: Never mind. I found the command "get-q4os-version" that shows I already have 1.8.6-n1...
Though a suggestion: make a "sticky" post describing how to learn what version of Q4OS you have and how the upgrade system handles releases, for n00bs as myself

New versions of Q4OS are pushed thru so every time you update your system, in my case thru Synaptic I get all those changes, newest version.
Hers the original thread, www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=883
Totally agree about having a sticky and and maybe a-read this first- thread for the obvious stuff all new users must know. There is also a FAQ in the documents section that has quite a bit of info.
First thing regardless of which version you have of Orion installed is to immediately update to become current.
Glad you found what you needed.
