Clementine issue

Can anyone tell me how to fix this problem with my Clementine player.."Your GStreamer installation is missing a plug-in". I thought I had all the latest codecs...?

Actually I had to go thru and add some GStreamer plugins that werent included. I used Synaptic and just looked thru the GStreamer codecs and added any that werent installed. I intially didnt know why it wasnt working so had to do some experimenting to see what was needed.

We are not able to reproduce on a fresh Q4OS Orion install, Clementine works as expected. Please specify in more detail for us to be able to reproduce it and eventually propose a fix.

I went to S.P.M. and added the GStreamer codes like you suggested....fixed the problem...!

All of them Dai is what I did, as I had no idea which was needed, as there was no indication. It occurred in more than one situation so I went thru Synaptic and ran thru all the GStreamer codecs and installed any that werent installed previously assuming I didnt see something odd.

Clementine wasnt the only app that had issues and some of my favorite websites where i watch video streams werent working properly either and adding additional codecs solved that issue as well but again wasnt sure what to add so added all of the Gstreamer codecs that were not already installed.

That's exactly what I did,CC.... I just added all of them at Synaptic P. M. It seems to be playing fine now. Sorry, Dai, that it has taken me so long to get back on here.

I realize how generalist solutions can leave a bad taste in ones mouth and Im glad i dont have to solve all problems in this fashion.
