In Orion whenever I opened a folder with images, jpg, avi, mp4,etc the icons would show as an image. If I hovered the mouse over the image I would get a larger preview of the image (a still shot of video's). Since I have changed to Scorpion I have not been able to reproduce that. I can, sometimes, get the jpg files to show when I hover over them, but the icon just shows as a generic film strip. Is there something I have forgotten to do?

And it's just my luck I encounter one within the first couple of days of trying it!
But, no biggie! I can wait for the fix!

When I first tried Orion it had some bugs as well but nothing bad enough to stop me from using it for most tasks.

I install Kview and Kuickshow which should give you both 'PhotoBook View' and be able to double click rotate etc etc on an image.
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
