Desktop Crash to Logout

I installed the latest x64 Orion last week. All is fine except for one issue that will likely see me remove it unless there is a fix. A couple of times a day, clicking on a panel launcher crashes the desktop and defaults to logged out. When I log back in, the network is still connected but everything else needs to be restarted and whatever I was working on at the time is lost. Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

We are not able to reproduce the issue, please describe what does the 'panel launcher' mean exactly.

Re: Desktop Crash to Logout

Ive done over 200 installs of Q4OS and havent experienced the issue you describe with those users.

Have you used the live cd version of 64bit Q4OS and does this problem occur even while youre in live session?

If not then its more than likely an issue with the install.

Have you run any other distros on this system and not had this issue before?

Re: Desktop Crash to Logout

This is very unusual behaviour and suggests a problem with the application you are launching.

So, is it the same application each time?

What is that application?

Does it happen if the app is launched from the menu as opposed to what sounds like a link the bottom panel?

Many folks here can help but we do need info to work with please.

Re: Desktop Crash to Logout

We've seen a lot of users who install packages which arent compatible and try to make them work.  Issues ensue but with a lack of info thats why I suggested trying to run in a live session to rule out any odd hardware issue, then we can backtrack to the install and what software youre using.
