Very interesting, I agree with him when he says he wants the OS to get out of his way, some switch on the PC to tinker with the system, but most of us end users just want to get on with using it, I have always admired the package system,when it does its thing by magic, but again agree that it does deter support by companies, diversity is the Linux strength and also its weakness.

Same here, I also agree with him. Ive spent a lot of time tinkering with systems but have gotten to the point where I just want it to work and serve my needs.
Thats why I use Linux and have been moving away from Windows. Linux requires far less from me but gives back to me ten fold in ease of use.
