Hi,
the actual live-cd scorpion, 2.3.1/n1 cannot be used for a q4os-install here.
It gives up with this error message:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
linux-headers-amd64 : Depends: linux-headers-4.9.0-2-amd64 but it is not going to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
Error: Simulation not successful.
What to do then? I mean: can I do manually something to solve the problem?
root@debian:/home/adminq/Desktop# apt-get install linux-headers-4.9.0-2-all
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done

What do you mean by 'q4os-install' exactly ? Please specify for us to be able to reproduce the issue.
linux-headers-4.9.0-2-all : Depends: linux-headers-4.9.0-2-all-amd64 (= 4.9.13-1) but it is not going to be installed

Try to update apt database:
$ sudo apt-get update

Well, I booted the Live-CD, clicked on the „Welcome screen“ and then on install. Was apparently wrong. There is another button on the screen of the Desktop „Instll Q4OS“. With this the installation started. And it runs on a basic level. Installation the NVIDIA-drivers did not work, and the Desktop-profiler ends with the given errror message.
For you to know: the installed kernel is 4.0.9.1, apt-get update ends up with the given error message.

We don't understand the procedure you actually tried to perform, please specify more exactly. There are six buttons on the welcome screen, which one did you click and what system response (messages, errors, ...) did you experience ?
We are not able to reproduce any issue, just booted the Scorpion live cd, clicked on the 'Install Q4OS' icon and proceeded Q4OS installation with no issue.

Sorry, incomplete error message. I had just started the desktop-profiler and clicked on „The Basic Q4OS installer...“, it went wrong. Then I clicked (on the screen of the Live-CD!) on Install. Went smooth.
When I booted into the new system I started the desktop-profiler and clicked on „The Basic Q4OS installer...“, run into above cited error message. Installaition of the NVIDIA-driver failed.
Then from a konsole I did „apt-get update“, installed Synaptic and the kernel 4.9.0.2 and now NVIDIA installed correctly.
Hypothesis: some mismatch between the kernel 4.9.0.1 and the apt-„System“. Now it works fine, thanks for the response.
