K3B Won't Burn Medium

Everytime I open k3b to burn an ISO image, the Burn Medium dialog is stuck with the message, " Please insert an empty CD-R(W) medium". I have a blank DVD-R disc loaded. The disc is seen by the file manager as blanked. I can't continue at this point. I tried unloading reloading the disc but get the same message. Any ideas what's going on?

Re: K3B Won't Burn Medium

Curious - if you open Control Centre>Peripherals>Hardware Device Manager>Disk does it show your optical drive as a DVD+/- RW drive?

What does it show in k3b settings>devices?

Is it possible that you are using an 8Gb double sided or similar? I recall having problems with these back in the day and had to use brasero to create dvds

Re: K3B Won't Burn Medium

Yes, it show the optical drive as a DVD+/- RW drive.
It show the disc as empty and if I add a disc with info, it show the info.
No, these are normal 4.7gb HP discs.

When I booted into another distro (Void Linux) it burned the disc with no issues, using Brasero program.

Thnx.
