Today I found that my sound was not working. I could find noting that made it work. Not even rebooting, or power down and restart. After an online search I found to run "sudo alsactl init" from a terminal. That seems to have worked. I have not rebooted or anything, other than playing an mp3 file, since doing that.
The question is....why did it stop in the first place?
Is there an easier way to re-enable sound? Actually this isn't hard, just hard for an old man to remember!

LOL
I might have thought of that - If I had just re-installed Q4OS. But, I've been using it for months with no problem. No new installations just before the sound stopping. No messing around with the sound settings. The only thing I can think of was that the last update did something that stopped the sound.
Thank you anyway. I'll remember that tip if it stops again.
