Building Automation Program

Does anyone know of any programs or software for building automation and/or energy management? Is that something I could learn how to do?

Re: Building Automation Program

You need appropriate hardware too for such specific tasks, not only software. There is one solution I have found based on Raspberry Pi:

Wow! Thanks for posting that! It's a good start for me. I'm going to get ignorant here but what is Raspberry Pi? Is it another operating system? Can it be installed on a laptop? Or used with Q4OS?

Re: Building Automation Program

The Raspberry Pi is a low cost, credit-card sized computer that plugs into a computer monitor or TV, and uses a standard keyboard and mouse.

There is Q4OS verion specially designed for usage with Raspbery Pi 3.

Although power consumption is very small, proper cooling is still important.
