Scorpion run bash script on startup

I have a bash script that I use to start my conkies at startup and I run it by placing a soft-link to the bash script in ~/.q4data/Programs/Startup/ but in scorpion it opens an application chooser dialog instead. I can just type bash in the box and it runs without issue but I was wondering why it isn't just working the same. I have made sure the execution bit is set and the script does have the correct shebang. I'm guessing I might have to use a .desktop file to get it working which isn't a major hassle, but wondered if there was something I could tweak to get the same behaviour as in Orion?

Try putting it in $HOME/.trinity/Autostart ?

Sorry, I switched back to TDE to check that up but I think mine is Orion not Scorpion. I may be wrong.

Re: Scorpion run bash script on startup

The ~/.q4data/Programs/Startup/ directory is just a link to that folder, but it's the same on both orion and scorpion smile

Re: Scorpion run bash script on startup

Ok I added a .desktop file instead of a soft link and everything worked fine.
