Slow down mouse movement

I have installed Gcompris for my three yr old grand daughter, but she is having difficulty with the mouse moving too much for the movement she is making, I have adjusted the settings in Settings->Control Centre->Peripherals->Mouse->Advanced->Pointer Acceleration down to 1.0x but this still moves too much for her, is it possible to set the mouse to move slower than single speed? it will allow her to get used to it quicker and then I could adjust it back as it becomes more familiar to her.

Excellent answer Thanks CC worked a treat!
She gets practice with touchscreen on phones and tablet, I.m trying to get her used to pc's as well now and this will definitely help.

Same here! She does enjoy some of the activities but has been getting frustrated when the mouse moves halfway across the screen when she hardly touches it, this will definitely hold her interest longer. Although I don't think I will see her until next weekend as her dad is away for a few days, but I shall have everything ready for her when she next visits
