This is a general question about email clients.
When I was using Microsoft in the 2000s, I had a computer nerd aunt. She really liked IncrediMail. I was kind of fond of it too, but I had a different email address and I refused to "give in". It was only webmail.
There was a different computer nerd guy that was going to make a replacement for AOL. He installed Trillian like stuff.
This is where I flocked to the online way of communicating. And I still do.
I latched onto the irc, mIRC, XChat (IRC client) ways of communicating. Email was not important to me. Message boards and forums like this is where I come to.
So, why have Thunderbird today in 2026?
Isn't this old news like the bulletin days of the 90s?
I have to admit, I didn't use it much. I went to AOLpress, then Frontpage, Macromedia Flash, etc...
NVU, KompoZer, and simplifying it with sites like Swish.
So, while all this exists in our hemisphere, why use email clients?
Specifically, will email clients like Thunderbird help with 2FA?
Wondering if the only way to connect is to just meet up at the pub. Same day, same hour.
Also, there is BAT and Jim Morris from Firetalk and Paltalk, and Active Worlds, and worlds.net, and (Sorry, he is being pulled away from his computer - I.B.F)

I have 6 email web email accounts, I want to check all 6 simultaneously. Email client is the only way. That's pretty much the entirety for me, I use email clients because there is no alternative that doesn't take 10x the amount of time.
