Pinta Graphics Editor

I came from a Windows background. I could not understand Paint and always disliked it. Several years ago, I discovered a program called Pinta [https://www.pinta-project.com/releases/]. I am delighted to find they make a Linux version. It is available as a Flatpak from the Discovery Manager. My editing is simple, you can convert, resize, crop. Those are about all I do, but Pinta does them well. You may want to check it for yourself.
