Hi,
I received an HP Envy 8 Note 5002 tablet. It was originally shipped with Windows 10. Now that Windows 10 is at the end of its life cycle, I was looking for a Linux distribution so that I could continue to use the tablet securely. During my search, I came across Q4OS and installed it. I think it would be the right choice for my tablet, but the touch screen is not supported even though I installed Q4OS Andromeda, Plasma, live - 64-bit.
Current status:
Operating system: Debian GNU/Linux 12
KDE Plasma version: 5.27.5
KDE Frameworks version: 5.103.0
Qt version: 5.15.8
Kernel version: 6.1.0-40-amd64 (64-bit)
Graphics platform: X11
Processors: 4 × Intel® Atom™ x5-Z8300 CPU @ 1.44GHz
Memory: 1.8 GiB RAM
Graphics processor: Mesa Intel® HD Graphics
Manufacturer: Hewlett-Packard
Product name: HP Envy 8 Note 5000
System version: Type1ProductConfigId
Maybe someone has an idea.
Best regards

As far as we know generally, Plasma Wayland should handle touchscreens. Make sure you are not logged in X11 but Wayland session. Unfortunately we have no direct advice how to make your touchscreen working. Maybe someone else ? We can definitely recommend you to search for Debian procedures, what works on Debian, it will work for Q4OS too. In anyway we may check this and post some result later.
