Audio/video out of sync

I copied several videos in 1080P from a flash drive to my desktop. I watched 1 ok, but additional ones were out of sync, perhaps by 3-4 seconds. The only way I regained sync was to reboot. I had only 1 additional chat window open. Just sitting, nothing was going on. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

What version of Q4OS are you using?

What hardware are you using and in particular how much ram do you have?

If youre using older or lower end hardware or arent running enough ram, it wouldn take too much to cause issues with the videos. Rebooting and the issue no longer being a problem points to a performance issue of some type.

I continue to have problems. Perhaps FreeXP and Free10 are not quite stable. I erased, and doing a fresh install of Q4OS 5.7 Aquarius Plasma.
My hardware should be fine: 2 year old HP, 4gb/128gb/dual AMD cpu. 1st install hung at 75%. 2nd install attempted to boot from HDD. 3rd attempt installed correctly. I installed 2 programs and will use it a few days.

If you can upgrade to 8gb of ram I think it would help all aspects of your systems performance. Thats a bit odd that it took three tries to install the Plasma.

Ive installed Free10 and didnt have any issues.

I played a bit with FreeXP but it did not seem quite polished and finished. I erased and installed plain Q4OS. Then installed LookSwitcher to allow me to switch themes. LookSwitcher even has themes to give you a Windows11 appearance. I must admit I have much to learn. I have now used both Trinity and Plasma. What are those called? To keep on topic about my audio/video sync, that problem has not returned. Thanks for the help.

Youre welcome and Trinity/ Plasma are desktop environments or DE's.
