Video driver appears to not be recognized, I can't see all the content

Hello,

I cannot use the system due to the low screen resolution that Q4OS left configured.]

- Asus A7V400-MX motherboard.
- VIA/S3G KM400A Graphics Driver (OnBoard)

How can I set the resolution to at least 1024x768 via command line?

(Windows XP and Kubuntu 6 did 1024x768 without problems)

Youre motherboard uses the S3 graphics and driver support in Linux is not that great.  You didnt mention whether you were using KDE or TDE.
Honestly you would be better off if possible to use a discrete video card that has newer driver support to avoid issues.
I havent seen updated drivers in quite awhile and realize that running Q4OS which is a far newer OS with a newer kernel may not help.

Running a system thats 20+ years old becomes a bit problematic.

I checked your motherboard specs and you have 3 PCI slots, so you could run a PCI video card that might solve your issues in the long term. The Geforce 610 comes to mind and is still available online.

It's TDE v14.1.1

I would like to use an offboard board, but I don't have one at the moment.

I just need to use a console program with the urjtag program (to program electronic boards using the parallel port), but I would like to be able to access the internet to search.

I use to be a Global moderator at viahardware.com for many years and the board you have is very problematic with its graphics. The suggestion above from the devs post #2 may be your only option.  PCI video cards though are available as I have a few I use on older systems.

Ok, no option to configure the video, I remembered the Raspberry Pi board, where it is common to use SSH for remote control, I managed to install SSH, I will continue with the configurations from another computer, thanks.

It wasn't even possible to see the IP address in the console, I had to reduce the font size of the console.

What resolution do you have initially ? This one https://www.q4os.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3791 doesn't work for you ?

Re: Video driver appears to not be recognized, I can't see all the content

The S3 drivers default to 800x600 in most cases and its rare that users can get them to 1024x768.  Openchrome was the last attempt to create more modern drivers for motherboards like his and they really never worked very well.
