Hi, I just installed the new Q4OS Aquarius, Trinity on 3 computers. I installed the proprietary codecs. VLC sees the DVD movie but when I hit play it instantly crashes. It's the same on all 3 computers. I don't remember having this issue in the past with a much older Q4OS version. When I try to play a blue ray it says it's missing AACS configuration file. I'm not real technical or knowledgeable when it comes to operating software.

AACS file is a list of disk identifiers and decryption keys that you need to run Blue Ray.
Take a look at this,

Its a bit old but its been a reoccuring issues for years.

Please try to install packages:
$ sudo apt install libaacs-dev libasm-java libbluray-bdj libbluray-bin
reboot, try to load bluray disk and report back.
You can also try to put "KEYDB.cfg" in the "~/.config/aacs/" as described https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=420075 and post back
