Hello everyone. I decided to try Linux, but it is very important to me that my main operating system and all my files remain in place. I know that it is possible to use dual boot, but as far as I know it can cause certain problems + I have already used dual boot(2 windows) and it was causing some problems on my PC.
I found out that q4os supports wubi and decided to try it. The installation went perfectly. After logging into Linux, everything was fine too. But after some time, Linux completely hung up without being able to shut down. The only way to fix this was by holding down the off button for 5 seconds. I looked through the logs and began that most likely the problem lies in the built-in nouveau drivers. I have an old graphics card: 550 Ti. I couldn't install the proprietary drivers. Is it possible to install Linux without the built-in nouveau driver. Where can I find an easy guide for installing proprietary drivers from Nvidia.Sorry for my English. Thanks

Look here for how to install proprietary drivers, https://wiki.debian.org/NvidiaGraphicsDrivers
The 390 Nvidia driver in my experience is the best choice for the GTX 550 Ti card.
