Few problems with Q4OS (Win installer)

My device:
Samsung RV511 with Win10
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 380  @ 2.53GHz   2.53 GHz (x64)
RAM    6,00 GB

I did use windows installer to get Q4OS Aquarius (Basic desktop), but I ran up against some problems:
1. I can't change display brightness in Linux - I see that percentage is changing, when using mousescroll/bar, but nothing happen. It's laptop, so I don't have buttons on my device display to change it manually.
2. Instalation of software doesn't work, although I have 7GB free space.
I did use terminal and GUI installers. I saw downloading packets, I got info about succesfull instalation using both methods, but the software isn't visible in start. I check categories manually, and used searchbar and type names - nothing. It looks like I only have software checked as installed, but didn't get it in reality. I tried with aisleriot, keepas for linux and some other software.
If I retype command sudo apt install aisleriot I got info that software is already installed and up to date.

I launched VM on Win10 with Q4OS ISO, and installing software works correctly.

Rebooting didn't help.

Is there any way to solve this, or I just should reinstall Q4OS?

Please run in terminal:
$ /usr/games/sol
and post the terminal output.

How exactly did you install Keepass ?

I typed /usr/games/sol and it started the game correctly.

I installed Aisleriot and Keepas using Q4OS Software Centre (I've found this in menu start), later I tried install Aisleriot in terminal, but got info, that is already installed and up to date.

How can I make installed software visible in menu start? Like I said before, even typing title in searchbar doesn't help.
I am able to browse through catalogs in terminal (like games, bin, local etc.), but is there something like Linux version of Program Files? I can find games easily, but in which catalog can I find software like VLC, Keepass etc.?

Can you at least see 'Q4OS Software Centre' and some other apps in the list when you type 'Q4OS' in "Start" search bar?

With Plasma (for TDE I don't know, but I presume) you can right-click on "Start" button then choose "Edit Applications" if you want to browse and/or add applications to the menu (don't forget to save the modifications).

We are not able to reproduce the issue. Aisleriot as well as Keepassxc shows in the main menu under Games and Tools category, even for Windows installer based systems.

Do you use Plasma ?
What is your language settings ?
Can you search other apps in the menu as @hchiper suggested ?
