Hello everyone.
I have installed q4os trinity 5.4 and I've been using it for about 3 months. Few times I played minecaft I noticed an issue. While playing minecraft, sometimes I accidentally press win key and start menu opens (which is normal). However when I press it again start menu closes but then my keyboard won't work anymore.
The system is responsive. My character in game moves with my mouse but nothing else works I press enter, esc, tab, at the end I just give up and switch to a different tty and type "reboot now".
my OS: q4os 5.4 (I upgraded it a bunch of times)
my DE: trinity
my theme (In Theme manager): spring
steps to reproduce:
1. Open a game that captures the mouse (like minecraft, minetest, etc)
3. Press win key and start menu opens
4. Press win key again
One time though it happened when my mouse wasn't captured so I clicked the start button and noticed that even though start menu is closed, my system thinks I'm typing in the search bar. I don't know how to reproduce it though. It just happened once.

Have you tried to press ESC instead of pressing the win key for the second time?

Hello sorry for the late response.
Yes, it solved my problem thanks. Although it pauses the game and then I can close the menu with mouse. Not sure if ESC is supposed to close the menu. Is this what you meant?
It's like when I press the win key for the first time, the start menu is not registering my keyboard input but my game does. When I press it for the second time and the menu closes, that's when it starts getting input. When its closed.
