Good morning, I have a digital Creative Stage SE Soundbar with remote control connected to my computer USB port, so now I'll list what happens with Q4OS compared to Linux Mint:
this soundbar has a remote control that allows you to change songs and pause the song remotely, with Linux Mint these functions work perfectly with the Audacious player that I use, but not with Q4OS.
I find that Q4OS has a more minimalist handling of audio than Linux Mint, even the volume adjustment on Q4OS is much cruder.
I hope that the Q4OS team resolves this flaw by making the distro on par with Linux Mint from a functional point of view, also because Q4OS continues to be my favorite GNU/Linux distro.

Q4OS is based on Debian, while Linux Mint on Ubuntu. We can recommend you to try Quarkos https://sourceforge.net/projects/quark-os/ as it's based on Ubuntu as well. The correct hardware handling is also dependent on packages and software you have installed, so you may only need to install appropriate packages.

Thanks for answering me, I'll first switch to Linux Mint Debian Edition, since the Creative remote control commands also work perfectly with this version of Linux Mint, waiting for the Q4OS team to improve the distro.

What Desktop profile did you apply on Q4OS installation ? If you chosen the Full profile, audio system should work the same way as for default LMDE.

I installed the complete Trinity desktop, it's the Creative soundbar that I recently bought.
Q4OS can't handle Creative soundbar remote commands, but LMDE and Ubuntu-based Mint can.
Q4OS is a distro that I know very well.

What about Q4OS Plasma ? Trinity desktop is not comparable to Mint Cinnamon desktop environment, Trinity is much lighter.

Maybe I can try the version with the Plasma desktop and see what happens...

You could also try to install Trinity desktop alongside Plasma, see https://q4os.org/dqa015.html#ddskr , and use what you would prefer.

Just a clarification that may be useful to you: on the Cinnamon desktop of Mint Debian or Mint Ubuntu, every time I pause a song or change it with the remote control, the icon appears on the monitor notifying me of the operation performed, on the Plasma desktop, however, no, only the graduated volume scale appears on the monitor and that's it, even if everything still works regularly.
Thank you.
