Control panel > System administration > Screen scaling

Open Konsole
sudo kcmodules --unlock
Go to Control Centre>Appearance & Themes>Icons>Advanced
Select a larger size for desktop icons>48
If that is too big and the next size down is too small then edit .~/.trinity/share/config/kdeglobals
First section is DesktopIcons
Last line of that section will be the last size chosen
I alter mine to Size=44 cos I like it like that.

Right-click on an empty area of your desktop.
Select "Display settings" from the context menu.
Under the "Scale and layout" section, you'll find a slider labeled "Change the size of text, apps, and other items." Adjust this slider to change the size of icons and other interface elements.
You may need to sign out and sign back in or restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

On high resolution screens I like the "Screen scaling" button on the Q4OS welcome screen (both Plasma and Trinity). It doen't get any simpler and useful than this.
