XFCE desktop instead of KDE/Trinity

Hello,

Is it possible to fully uninstall KDE (or Trinity) and install Xfce only?

Thank you.

Yes it's possible. Use Desktop profiler to install Xfce and subsequently remove KDE and Trinity packages using Apt. We recommend you to save desktop profile before the action, so you will be able to easily restore the original system, see https://www.q4os.org/dqa016.html

Re: XFCE desktop instead of KDE/Trinity

Thank you very much!

For some reason, Plasma has still remained my main desktop.

I used the following commands:

sudo apt-get purge kde-plasma-desktop
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get clean

Could you please help me with that?

Thank you.
