Software Center seems unreliable

I have installed gparted and some other software, with synaptic, but according to the software center they are NOT installed.

If you install these apps from the Software Center, you'll also get some Q4OS specific optimization and more appropriate dependencies and language packs installed. Installing from repositories doesn't work exactly the same way, and apps aren't marked as installed. However, both ways are correct and clean. In any case, we recommend installing the application from the software center for full optimization. We admit that this behavior requires some tuning, so we will address it in future releases of Q4OS.
