Hello,
The update manager from the Q4 software center could not be uninstalled. I then uninstalled the package "q4os-updater".
I do not know if the error is known?

Please describe the procedure in more detail, so we can reproduce and investigate the issue. Error messages, etc ...

There is no error message, can't add anything to this other than what I've already written, except that I use plasma.

We don't understand what happened on your machine. Did you try to remove Update manager ? How exactly ? What did you see on the screen ?
Offline
I installed the update manager in Q4's own software center a few days ago to try it out.
Today an update came in and I let the update manager take care of it.
But because I'm used to doing my updates via the console and I couldn't see any advantage, I wanted to uninstall the Q4 Update Manager via the Q4 Software Center and found that the uninstall didn't work.
I then looked at the Q4 packages in synaptic and uninstalled "q4os-updater".
After that, the update manager was also uninstalled in Q4's own software center.
I'm sorry, but I can't describe it any more precisely than that.

Well, thanks for this info. Everything is clear, except the quotes below:
I wanted to uninstall the Q4 Update Manager via the Q4 Software Center ...
How exactly ?
... and found that the uninstall didn't work.
How did you recognize it didn't work ? Did you click to the "Uninstall" button ? What did happen next ? Did you see any window ? Or message or sign of the uninstall process ?
We are not able to reproduce the issue, uninstall process works fine here. Did anyone else noticed some similar issue ?

I have now done the installation again, all without a problem. But the uninstallation does not work (at least not via the Q4 Software Center).
After uninstalling, a window opens with uninstall now or cancel, of course I press uninstall, the window closes and where there was a green checkmark before is now a cross and the update manager is still installed. I can open the window (uninstall or cancel) again and again.
It can only be uninstalled if I uninstall the package "q4os-updater".
No idea how to attach pictures here, otherwise I could show more.

When you click "uninstall", non-interactive terminal window with uninstall process should open. Did it ?
It would be helpful, if you would run in terminal:
$ swcentre.exu
Initialize uninstall action of Update manager as described above
And post back the terminal output.

Konsole version seems to be correct. The clue is "--title" konsole argument. It doesn't work on your system, while we are not able to reproduce. It works fine here and konsole starts with the same "--title" argument. We have no idea what could be a culprit, however we will investigate more and post back later. Anyway, thanks for valuable reporting, so we can investigate.

One more question, have you another desktop environment alongside Plasma installed ?
It would be also helpful, if you would provide debug info file:

I have noticed two things that I have not yet seen on any other system, I don't know if there is a connection.
1. this error occurred when adding the quick search in Synaptic:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/sbin/update-apt-xapian-index", line 61, in <module>
import axi.indexer
File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/axi/indexer.py", line 39, in <module>
from six.moves.urllib_parse import unquote
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'six'
what I have solved with "apt install python3-six"
2.Add drive to fstab:
mount -a
mount: (hint) your fstab has been modified, but systemd still uses
the old version; use 'systemctl daemon-reload' to reload.
Because the drive was mounted after a restart, I did not pursue it any further.
