Wayland?

Hello everyone, this is my first post here.
I'm from Germany and don't speak English, so don't be surprised if the language seems strange to you. I write in German and have everything translated before I post it here.

I've been using only KDE Plasma with Debian for years and just now I came across Q4OS and I'm totally thrilled!

Now to the actual question.
I can't find Wayland in the login dialog, is there a reason for this, is it discouraged under Q4OS?

If not, how should I activate it?

Re: Wayland?

Welcome to the Q4OS community smile

It's not discouraged to use Wayland, it's just not the default option. You can install it from standard repositories and use it as on Debian. You only need to install the following packages in terminal:
$ sudo apt install plasma-workspace-wayland
and reboot your computer.
