correct password but doesn't start

Hi everyone, and sorry for my English, I'm using a translator. I installed q4os-5.4-i386-instcd.r1.iso on asus eeepc 4g.
The installation was successful, including updates. turned it off and on again several times without problems.
My PC has a very small 7 inch screen with 800 x 480 resolution, so I thought about reducing the size of the windows to scale 1.
After making the change it required a restart for the changes to take effect.
When I restarted I entered the password, it accepts it, seems to load but it returns to the password request screen.
I confirm that the password I entered is correct, when in doubt I also carried out the password change procedure and it was successful, but even with the new password it doesn't start.
Can you help me? Thanks in advance

thinking it's a resolution problem I tried the xrandr command and it responds "can't open display"
