adding an action/command to the desktop popup menu

Is it possible to add an action to the desktop pop up menu (Trinity desktop) ? I know how to create servicemenu for specific files patterns, but how to create an action like the ones already existing (runcommand, open terminal, etc..) when clicking on an empty desktop area ?
