Hi!
I just installed (the first time) the fresh Q4OS, but the internet is not working. And without the internet connection I cannot install additional drivers or do anything else.
How can I solve this problem?

There was no internet also when I opened live Q4OS from USB stick (before beginning the installation process). So I'm almost sure that I would need drivers, but without the internet I can't do absolutely anything.
All other distros on this 64-bit single core computer worked fine and also internet worked with no problems.

- Installation media image file, or a method, you have used for system installation: usb stick
- Desktop environment you are using: Plasma (as default, I didn't change anything)
- Desktop software profile applied, using the Desktop profiler tool (Full, Basic, Pure, Custom): nothing - I didn't made any changes because I'm without internet
- A brief description and steps to reproduce the issue: I just made a fresh install, switched on the first time the computer and there was no internet.
In short, I didn't start to use the distro yet, because I'm without the internet from the beginning (even befor start the installation (at live from USB stick)

I'm so sorry! I didn't noticed that the router in the room didn't work, I had to restarted it. All other routers in the house worked, so I didn't noticed the problem. So, now everything work fine. What a stupid!
Anyway, today I installed Q4OS for the first time and it works great on my old machine. The faster distro until now!

Ok, thanks for the feedback and enjoy Q4OS

Thank you!
I would like just to ask something. During the Q4OS installation there wasn't internet, could this cause some problems with functioning or something? Should I reinstall again with internet or it's OK like this?

You don't need to reinstall at all. Just run Desktop profiler and apply a profile. If you have already installed any package don't forget to uncheck "Remove superfluous packages" option, see the documentation https://q4os.org/dqa016.html

Concerning Desktop Profiler, it doesn't work. I run it, then it begin to do something, then monitor blinks (dark) few times, then system logs out. And when I log in again, nothing was done.

We are not able to reproduce such a behavior, could you describe the later in more detail ? How do you run it, what options do you choose, how long is it running, etc ...
Offline
I choose "Full featured desktop" and the installation process runs aprox. half minute, then it begins dark monitor and finally logout.

But I'm already using the excellent OS and maybe I don't need Desktop Profiler to run. Because everything works fine just like in Debian 12

Would you try to run Desktop profiler once again and report back ?

I tried several times, always the same. Just I explained in previous post.

It would be helpful for us to figure out why Desktop profiler crashes, so we can fix a possible issue. So if you would find out any info connected, please post it here. In anyway thanks for reporting.

Maybe is my computer problem, because with other distros it worked slowly with some functional problems. Here with Q4OS it works fast and I don't find any problems in functioning (ecxept desktop profiler installation, but for me this is not crucial, I don't need it).
