Hiyall,
How do I restore the battery usage icon to the taskbar? I can't remember uninstalling/deleting it.

Q4OS 5.2 Trinity 32bit Basic on Asus EeePC 1011PX (2011), CPU: Intel Atom N455, 2Gb DDR2 RAM, 256Gb SSD

Bottom Panel/Taskbar>Rt Click>Unlock Panels
Hover mouse just to left of network icon
Look for a vertical dotted line with a small black arrow at the top - mouseover should say System Tray (not the Storage Media next to it)
Click that and go to Configure System Tray
You may well find the TDEPowerSave in the hidden icons on the left.
If moving it to the right works then Bottom Panel/Taskbar>Rt Click>Lock Panels will prevent future slips

Hi bin,
The only icon in left side of System Tray is TDE Keyboard Tool. Any idea where TDE Powersave is hiding?

Aha!
For some reason, unbeknownst to moi, it must have uninstalled itself. I went into Synaptic and there it was. I downloaded it, rebooted and voila!

So I need to answer this because many will find it. I have had tons of issues with TDEpowersave-trinity and consuming one of the processors 100%. This eats battery power and it also uses ram. This happened in both Gemini and Aquarius. I suspect what you choose when installing q4os decides what packages are installed.
I think a better package for this is fdpowermon.

Your post is not connected to the OP in anyway. A better way would be to start another topic, if you want to tell us about issues you encountered.

A bit confused as they match identically! We both were looking for a battery indicator in q4os, so, perfect fit, like identical twins. He/She was looking for a task bar indicator so check mark, I answered their question with another option (that appears to be less buggy for the time being).
However, there is another option that works well, and may be more inline with q4os goals at this time, and may work better for other users who find this thread, like I did. This is not a post to start a support ticket or anything else (though, since you read it, now you know there is an issue) It was simply to help others who may find this thread when looking.
It was necro'ed because it shows up high on google searches.
Have a great day!

... as they match identically!
They really don't. The OP wants to restore tdepowersave icon. We can find nothing in your post, that suggest how to restore tdepowersave icon. Once again, you are welcome to start a new topic.
Edit:
Tips and tutorials forum section may be more appropriate for your suggestion.

All my points are still valid, unless you are going to get on everyone that makes a suggestion. You have got an entire forum to go through and comment on then.
anyway, have a great day!

Yes, they are valid, but not connected to this topic. Your point doesn't help to solve the OP issue in anyway, and thus make the topic more complicated.
Edit:
We only strive to make the discussion useful, clean and consistent, especially the Support section, for Q4OS users to get the relevant help as easily as possible. Again, you are welcome to create a new topic.
