My 'Discover' now lists 37 updates ( some 120MB ) to be applied. I noticed the name 'triniity' which I Googled to find its another Debian desktop.
How / Why is that there ? I checked System-Settings no signs of any 'trinity'.
The last thing I need is another desk-top named after an old TerrenceHill cowboy movie !

They are a few libraries needed to run some of Q4OS tools, no another desktop.

What Q4OS "tools" could possibly require Debian Trinity ?
( If a future Q4OS release uses Trinity desktop, then I may welcome it. )

There are "two versions" of Q4OS.
One is based on Trinity Desktop which is a descendant of KDE 3.5 maintained and developed/improved by https://www.trinitydesktop.org/ although Q4OS uses some modifications to that base and so maintains its own repositories. So, there are some libraries special to the Trinity version - otherwise known as TDE.
The other which you are using is based on KDE Plasma which is what KDE 3.5 eventually became via the awful KDE 4.x series
The two 'desktops' can co-exist and the Q4OS desktop profiler is one of the special tools that will allow you to install one alongside the other. If you are just using Plasma you may want to watch out when installing software and avoid packages which include 'trinity' in their name as you will be winding up with TDE versions which are much older than those used in Plasma. The OS may well already have some TDE libraries already installed as mentioned by the team - which is fine.

That's it.

Setup tool, Desktop profiler, Software center and a few installation tools. They only need a limited set of Trinity libraries, not the complete desktop.
