It would be possible that q4os is a distribution rolling release??

The primary goal of Q4OS is long-term stability, so it cannot be a rolling release distro, please read https://q4os.org/dqa015.html#boome

I actually like the idea of having a stable base for the system and following debian development model however, I was wondering and would prefer if the desktop (Plasma) could have been updated as the new versions get released. It doesn't have to be the latest one, but at least not 7 versions behind the most recent one!

With respect ,you're missing the point of what Q4OS is here for .
It's meant to be a light-weight ,slowing evolving, stable OS.
It's doing exactly what's it's supposed to and has been doing it very well for a long time..
This Plasma version of Q4OS surprised me when it appeared ,didn't think they'd do something like this , but it's turned out to be really good.
Long may it continue
P.S: There's lots of "heavier" distros out there to choose from running latest Plasma with all the bells and whistles.

Yes, that's exactly what Q4OS is all about.
